Study Permits

Service Description

The study permit is a document provided by the Canadian government that allows foreign nationals to study at Designated Learning Institutions (DLI) within Canada. A study permit should not be mistaken with a visa as you will not be able to enter Canada with the study permit alone (you may require a temporary resident visa as well)

Study permits are usually issued for the length of the study program plus an additional 90 days or a year depending on your circumstances. The Canadian government will allow for extra time to prepare to leave the country or to extend your study permit.
